We got Piper Today!!

I understand there was not any text on this originally! So I am doing a one day post edit!!

On Monday, April 4th, we flew out of Beijing on time at 11:10 a.m. and arrived in Changsha at 1:30 p.m. We got to the hotel at 2:15 p.m. and then left the hotel at 4:00 p.m. to go to the Civil Affairs office here in Changsha, which is the capital of the Hunan Province.

It was an unbelievable experience!! We got to the Civil Affairs Office at 4:30 p.m. and it was mass chaos!! They called the babies out by their Chinese names one by one and Piper was the second one called out of our group of 11 families. "Huai Fu Rong" the director announced and we came forward to receive her. We got video of the experience live and it was a feeling we cannot put down in words.

All of the babies were given out to their new families in about 10 minutes total! It was a very small room and there were babies crying and parents crying. We are pleased to tell you that Piper was not one of them!!

We left the Civil Affairs office at about 5:00 and came back to the hotel for dinner. She ate well and we put her to bed at about 8:00.

She is an angel and has attached to us instantly, as we have to her. It is amazing how quickly we all love eachother. We cannot wait to bring her home to show her off!
